Mr. Peter Munk is the Founder and Chairman of Barrick. On March 27, 2008, Mr. Munk was also appointed as acting Chief Executive Officer of Barrick during a medical leave of absence of Greg Wilkins. Prior to September 2006, he was also Chairman of Trizec Properties, Inc., a real estate investment trust, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Trizec Canada Inc., a real estate company. Mr. Munk is the former Chair of the University of Toronto Crown Foundation and served as a Trustee of the University Health Network in Toronto.
