Eric Schmidt has served as our Chief Executive Officer since July 2001, as the chairman of our board of directors since April 2007, and as a member of our board of directors since March 2001. Eric also served as Chairman of our board of directors from March 2001 to April 2004. Since April 2004, Eric has also served as Chairman of the Executive Committee of our board of directors. Prior to joining us, from April 1997 to November 2001, Eric served as Chairman of the board of directors of Novell, Inc., a computer networking company, and, from April 1997 to July 2001, as the Chief Executive Officer of Novell. George Reyes has served as our Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since January 2006. Previously, he served as our Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since July 2002. Prior to joining us, George served as Interim Chief Financial Officer for ONI Systems, a provider of optical networking equipment, from February 2002 until June 2002. From April 1999 to September 2001, George served as Vice President and Treasurer of Sun Microsystems, a supplier of networking computing solutions, and as Vice President, Corporate Controller of Sun Microsystems from April 1994 to April 1999. George is also a director of BEA Systems, an application infrastructure software company, Symantec, an information security company, and Flextronics, an electronics design, fabrication, assembly, and test company. George holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of South Florida. On August 27, 2007, George informed Google of his intention to resign as Chief Financial Officer. The effective date of his retirement has not been determined.

On June 25, 2008, Google Inc. announced that Patrick Pichette who will join Google as an employee on August 1, 2008 and will become Google's new Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President on August 12, 2008. Mr. Pichette brings nearly 20 years of experience in financial operations and management in the telecommunications sector, including 7 years at Bell Canada, which he joined in 2001 as Executive Vice President of Planning and Performance Management. During his time at Bell Canada, he held various executive positions, including CFO from 2002 until the end of 2003, and was instrumental in the management of the most extensive communications network in Canada and its ongoing migration to a new national IP-based infrastructure. Prior to joining Bell Canada, Mr. Pichette was a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he was a lead member of McKinsey"s North American Telecom Practice. He also served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Call-Net Enterprises, a Canadian telecommunications company, from 1994 to 1996. Mr. Pichette earned a BA in Business Administration from Universite du Quebec a Montreal and an MA in Philosophy Politics and Economics from Oxford University, where he attended as a Rhodes Scholar. He is also chairman of the board of Engineers Without Borders (Canada).

Omid Kordestani has served as our Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Business Development, formerly known as Worldwide Sales and Field Operations, since May 1999. Prior to joining us, Omid served as Vice President of Business Development, from 1995 to 1999, at Netscape, an internet software and services company. Prior to Netscape, he held positions in business development, product management and marketing at The 3DO Company, a video game company, Go Corporation, a developer of software for mobile devices, and Hewlett-Packard, a provider of technology products, software and services. Ann Mather has served as a member of our board of directors since November 2005. Since September 2005, Ann has been a director of Glu Mobile Inc., a publisher of mobile games, and serves as chair of its audit committee. Since April 2004, Ann has been a director of Central European Media Enterprises Group, a developer and operator of national commercial television channels and stations in Central and Eastern Europe, and serves on its audit committee. Ann is also a director of Zappos.com, a privately held, online retailer, and Ariat International, Inc, a privately held manufacturer or footwear for equestrian athletes. From 1999 to 2004, Ann was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pixar, a computer animation studio.
