Lennar is one of the largest homebuilding, land-owning, loan-making leviathans in the US. Delivering some 33,000 homes in 2007, the company is second only to D.R. Horton and leads other top builders Pulte Homes and Centex. Lennar builds primarily detached homes for first-time buyers, move-up buyers, and active adults in nearly 20 states. Home prices average some $297,000. Lennar also provides financial services including mortgage financing, title insurance, and closing services. Lennar markets its homes through its Everything's Included program, in which houses come complete with most top-of-the-line features. CEO Stuart Miller controls 47% of the company.
