It's Miller time at South African Breweries. SAB's purchase of Miller Brewing in 2002 earned it a new name, SABMiller, and helped it achieve top billing as the world's largest brewer by volume in 2008, surpassing, InBev, Anheuser-Bush, and Heineken. The company, which has operations in more than 60 countries, dominates South African brewing on the strength of Africa's best-selling beer, Castle Lager. It brews other regional brands, including Hansa Pilsener. SABMiller also makes wines, spirits, and energy and fruit drinks as well as bottling Coca-Cola products.
