THQ INC Profile

THQ knows more than a little about gaming. The company is one of the leading publishers of video game titles for gaming consoles and devices from Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft , as well as for PCs. Many of its titles are based on licensed properties, including Cars, Power Rangers, Scooby-Doo, Disney/Pixar's Finding Nemo, and Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants. THQ game genres span the spectrum of action, adventure, fighting, racing, role-playing, simulation, sports and strategy. The company produces its games through in-house studios as well as third-party studios. THQ sells its games to retailers, including Wal-Mart, Toys "R" Us, and Target.
