    The investment seeks to provide current income exempt from Federal and California state income tax. The fund invests at least 80% of net assets in investment grade, intermediate-term, high quality municipal bonds and notes, and at least 80% of total assets in debt securities, the interest from which is expected to be exempt from federal and California state personal income taxes. It may also invest in short-term tax exempt commercial paper, floating rate notes or the shares of money market mutual funds whose objectives are consistent with those of the fund. The fund is nondiversified.
