The fund normally invests approximately 60% of assets in equity securities and the remainder in bonds and other fixed-income securities. The fixed-income portion of the fund's portfolio is invested primarily in a diversified portfolio of high-grade government, corporate, asset-backed and similar securities payable in U.S. currency. Up to 20% of the fixed-income assets may be invested in securities rated in the fourth category by a nationally recognized statistical rating organization, and up to 15% may be invested in securities rated in the fifth category.
