The investment seeks current income exempt from federal income tax, other than the alternative minimum tax, and North Carolina state income tax as part of a long-term strategy of achieving tax-advantaged total return.
The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in municipal securities that are exempt from federal income tax, other than the alternative minimum tax, and from income taxes in the stated of North Carolina. The fund may also invest up to 20% of assets in bonds rated below investment grade, but the Fund will not invest in bonds that are rated below B. It is nondiversified.
