The fund invests primarily in common stocks of small-capitalization companies, defined as companies that have market capitalizations at the time of purchase within the range of market capitalizations of companies constituting the Russell 2000 index. It may utilize options, futures contracts, options on futures contracts, and foreign currency exchange contracts. The fund may also invest up to 25% of assets, collectively, in non-dollar denominated and dollar-denominated equity securities of foreign issuers that are either listed on a U.S. stock exchange or represented by depositary receipts.
