The fund normally invests in a diversified portfolio of debt and equity securities. It may invest up to 100% of total assets in debt securities that are rated below investment-grade, but it is not currently expected that the fund invest more than 50% of assets in these securities. The fund seeks income by selecting investments such as corporate, foreign and U.S. Treasury bonds, as well as stocks with attractive dividend yields. It may also invest up to 25% of assets in foreign securities.
