The investment seeks long-term growth of capital.
The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities of small companies, which are companies with market cap values not exceeding $3 billion or the highest month-end market capitalization value of any stock in the Russell 2000 Index. The fund may invest up to 20% of assets in equity securities of companies that are not considered to be small cap companies. In addition, it invests up to 20% of assets in equity securities of foreign issuers, either directly or through depository receipts.
