The investment seeks a high total return through the combination of income and capital appreciation.
The fund invests in a broadly diversified array of securities including bonds, common stocks, real estate securities, foreign market bonds and stocks and money market instruments. It normally invests up to 80% of assets in bonds, up to 60% of assets in stocks , up to 25% of assets in real estate securities, and up to 25% of asset in foreign (including emerging market) stocks and bonds. It may limit the investment in lower credit quality bonds to less than 50% of assets. It may invest in ETFs.
