The fund normally invests at least 80% of net assets in lower quality bonds and other fixed-income securities which are rated BB, Ba or lower by a NRSRO. During temporary defensive periods, the fund may invest all of assets in securities of higher quality. The fund primarily invests in the debt obligations of domestic issuers, but it may also make limited investments in the securities of foreign issuers. The fund may invest, to a lesser extent, in futures contracts, options, swaps and currency contracts.
