The investment seeks to provide shareholders with a total return that exceeds the rate of inflation over the long-term.
The fund typically invests at least 80% of assets in inflation-protected debt securities. These securities include inflation-indexed bonds of varying maturities issued by the U.S. and non-U.S. governments, their agencies or instrumentalities, and corporations. It currently tends to focus on inflation protected debt-securities issued by the U.S. Treasury. It invests only in securities rated investment-grade. The fund is nondiversified.
