The fund invests primarily in common stocks of small- and medium-capitalization companies, most of which are US based. It normally invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities. The fund generally defines medium- and small-capitalization stocks as those companies represented by the Russell 2500 index. The management uses three principal investment styles including growth style, value style and market-oriented style.
