The investment seeks total return consisting of current income and capital appreciation.
The fund invests at least 80% of investable assets in "investment-grade" debt obligations issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government and its agencies, or issued by U.S. companies, foreign companies and foreign governments and their agencies and unrated debt obligations that we believe are comparable in quality. It invests up to 30% of total assets in foreign currency-denominated debt obligations. The fund may invest up to 25% of assets in privately issued mortgage-related securities.
