The investment seeks total return consisting of income and capital appreciation.
The fund is a gateway fund that invests substantially all of assets in the total return bond portfolio. It normally invests at least 80% of assets in bonds; at least 80% of assets in investment-grade debt securities; up to 25% of assets in asset-backed securities, other than mortgage-backed securities; and up to 20% of assets in U.S. dollar-denominated debt securities of foreign issuers. The overall effective duration is expected to range between 4 and 5.5 years.
